About Us
Fading Blue began when young artists, each independently exploring environmental contamination and ocean science through their work, came together with a shared purpose. Although our artistic styles differed, we were united by a common concern: the growing environmental threats facing the ocean. By combining scientific knowledge with visual expression, we aim to communicate environmental issues in a way that is both emotionally powerful and accessible to the public.

Gianna Park
Bergen County Academies
Gianna Park is a science communicator and co-director of Fading Blue. She develops research-based artworks translating environmental health risks and human-centered perspectives into visual narratives.
Andrew Shin
Bergen Technical High School (Teterboro)
Andrew Shin is a student researcher and co-director of Fading Blue. His Artwork is developed around an inversion of the natural order, encouraging reflection of humanity’s effect on the environment.
